August 6, Fineko/abc.az. As a result of the legalization and transparency of labor relations, the revenues of the State Social Protection Fund have more than doubled, and this has reduced the share of transfers from the State Budget.
Orhan Nazarli, the head of the State Tax Service (under the Ministry of Economy), said this in an interview with AZERTAC and REAL TV.
He added that compared with 2019, the number of employment contracts in the private non-oil sector observed growth by 91%, exceeding 1 million. During this period, labor incomes grew 2.5-fold (by nearly 6.5 billion manats), reaching 11.2 billion manats.
In order to minimize the risks of a return to the shadow economy after the benefits expire, a three-year phased transition was chosen. According to this model, the tax rate will be 3% in the first year, 5% in the second year and 7% in the third year.
