August 6, Fineko/abc.az. Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, beat Wall Street estimates for second-quarter net profit on Wednesday. However, a slight miss on revenue expectations weighed on its shares in early trading.

The company reported net income attributable to common shareholders of 18 cents per share for the quarter ended June 30, beating analysts' estimates of 17 cents per share. USDC in circulation rose 19% year-over-year to $73.3 billion, while onchain transaction volume surged 151%. Nevertheless, the reserve return rate on assets backing USDC fell by 66 basis points to 3.5%.

Circle reinforced its regulatory standing during the period after securing approval for a U.S. national trust bank charter, supporting its strategy to expand cross-border payment and settlement infrastructure for institutional clients.
