August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Simplified rules for customs clearance of a number of special categories of goods, including perishable goods, live animals and media materials, will be drafted in Azerbaijan in compliance with the presidential decree on the application of the draft amendments to the Customs Code.

According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked to prepare and submit simplified rules for customs clearance of the following goods to the head of state within 6 months:

* Live animals and perishable goods;
* Media materials (audiovisual, print, online media and news agencies);
* Military-grade weapons, goods purchased for defense and national security needs;
* Radioactive substances;
* Goods delivered to the legislative, executive and judicial authorities of Azerbaijan, as well as the Central Bank.
In addition, preferential and simplified rules for customs control and clearance of goods and vehicles needed during pandemics, natural disasters and other emergencies will be developed.
