July 29, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2026, Azerbaijan exported 11,744 tons of fats and oils of vegetable and animal origin for $17.383 million.

According to the State Customs Committee, the value of exported products grew by $5.79 million (50%) and the volume by 2,525 tons (27.4%) against Jan-Jun 2025.

The export earnings from fats and oils of plant and animal origin made up 0.1% of Azerbaijan's overall export revenue.

In the first 6 months of the year, Azerbaijan also imported 83,321 tons of fats and oils of plant and animal origin, worth $135.953 million.

Compared with Jan-Jun 2025, this figure increased by $16,903,000 (14.2%) in value terms and by 6,255 tons (8.1%) in quantity terms.

The cost of imported fats and oils of plant and animal origin made up 1.6% of Azerbaijan's overall import expenses.
