August 1, Fineko/abc.az. US-based Freedom Holding Corp. officially completed the acquisition of a 99.31% stake in Turkish Bank on July 31, 2026.

Following the transaction, shareholders approved changing the institution's commercial name to Freedom Bank A.Ş. Freedom Holding founder Timur Turlov joined the Board of Directors, with Vladimir Pochekuev appointed as Chairman.
