July 31, Fineko/abc.az. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia could initiate arbitration proceedings against Russia, seeking compensation of up to $2 billion annually for the usage of its railway infrastructure.
According to the report, the issue concerns the railway network managed by South Caucasus Railway (a subsidiary of Russian Railways) under a concession agreement valid until 2038. Yerevan is insisting on a revision of the terms as it seeks to more actively leverage its transit potential, reflecting growing tensions in relations with Moscow.
