July 28, Fineko/abc.az. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to settle the restrictions on the supply of Armenian products to the Russian Federation.

During the telephone conversation, the parties also discussed a possible referendum in Armenia on joining the European Union. The Kremlin reported that Putin confirmed Moscow's position on the need for Armenia to determine its foreign policy course as soon as possible.

Restrictions on Armenian imports to Russia have been in place since the end of May, with the suspension of supplies of a number of agricultural products, flowers, dairy products, alcohol, and mineral water. Moscow has previously expressed concerns about potential conflicts between EU regulations and those of the EAEU if Armenia were to align with the European Union.
