August 5, Fineko/abc.az. Qatar's reports on the preparation of a draft agreement on the Strait of Hormuz and statements by US President Donald Trump about the successful course of negotiations with Iran has caused a strong increase in global stock markets.

Expectations of a reduction in geopolitical risks pushed key indexes to historic highs and led to a drop in oil prices.

At the New York Stock Exchange, indices S&P 500 and Dow Jones reached record highs, while Nasdaq 100 rose 3.3%. In the technology sector, Nvidia shares rose more than 2% in the postmarket, while AMD shares fell 9% due to a weak sales forecast, and SpaceX lost 7.5% amid reports of high AI costs.
World index MSCI All Country grew by 0.4%, setting another record, while the Asia-Pacific composite index increased by 2.2%. Experts note that lower oil prices reduce inflationary concerns, and steady investments in artificial intelligence restore confidence to investors.
