August 4, Fineko/abc.az. According to the JOLTS report released by the US Department of Labor, job openings in the US fell by 178,000 in June to 7.359 million, coming in below market expectations of 7.440 million. In May, open positions stood at 7.537 million.
During June, open roles increased in transportation, warehousing, utilities, and the federal public sector, while declining in wholesale trade, non-durable goods manufacturing, and mining. Hires rose by 96,000 month-on-month to 5.348 million, while total separations (quits and layoffs) rose by 91,000 to 5.351 million.
