July 30, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR AQS (SOCAR’s drilling division) has successfully completed drilling and development of production well #118 at the Bulla-deniz field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

SOCAR AQS notes that this is an important contribution to development of gas condensate field Bulla-Deniz, one of Azerbaijan's strategically significant gas condensate fields.

The drilling was conducted to further assess the gas reserves in the field, which was discovered in 1975.

The inclined production well #118 reached depth of 5,800 m and was added to production portfolio of SOCAR's production association Azneft.

Samir Mollaev, CEO of SOCAR AQS, commented on the completion of the project, saying:

"Despite the complex geological features of the Bulla-deniz field and the technical challenges that arose during various stages of drilling, we successfully completed the project, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with international standards. This achievement was a result of effective collaboration with our clients and contractors, the professionalism of our team, and timely engineering solutions."

According to the company, the well demonstrates high flow rate of gas and gas condensate.
