June 25, Fineko/abc.az. India and the United States have agreed in principle on the terms of an interim trade deal, which could be officially signed within the next two weeks.
According to ABC.AZ, quoting details released by The Indian Express, the upcoming agreement serves as a key structural stepping stone toward a comprehensive bilateral treaty. The interim package covers critical operational frameworks, including expanded market access, digital trade regulations, and supply chain resilience metrics.
Negotiations regarding a full-scale free trade agreement have been ongoing since 2025. This long-term strategic partnership is projected to accelerate bilateral trade volumes, with a target of expanding mutual trade turnover to $500 billion by 2030.
