June 25, Fineko/abc.az. From the 2026/2027 academic year, the Baku State University will offers master's-level specializations in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, which are housed within the Faculty of Applied Mathematics & Cybernetics, ABC.AZ informs, swith reference to the BSU.

The Faculty of Applied Mathematics & Cybernetics at the BSU has strong scientific and methodological base for training masters in the field of AI. Mathematical modeling, optimization methods, probability theory, statistical analysis, algorithm theory, programming, and information technologies, which form the basis of artificial intelligence, are closely related to the faculty's educational and research activities.

The opening of the Artificial Intelligence specialization will create conditions for more efficient use of the faculty's existing potential and the development of new scientific areas.

The training of AI masters will contribute to strengthening the country's innovation ecosystem, increasing the competitiveness of scientific research at the international level, and expanding cooperation between the university and industry.

The master's students will be able to acquire knowledge and skills in such modern areas as machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and data mining, which will enable them to integrate more effectively into both the academic environment and the job market.
