Tesla and NatPower Ink Massive $5 Billion Battery Storage Alliance in Europe

22:03 - 23.06.2026

June 23, Fineko/abc.az. US electric vehicle pioneer Tesla and energy developer NatPower have formalized a multi-year supply and deployment agreement to establish over 25 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery energy storage capacity across Europe.

According to ABC.AZ, the grid-scale installations will be situated in Italy and the United Kingdom under NatPower's long-term ownership. This initialization marks the frontline phase of a broader program targeting an aggregate capacity ceiling above 100 GWh. The total construction asset value of the pipeline is projected at $4 to $5 billion, with a 20-year revenue yield estimated to cross $15 billion. Tesla is slated to deliver its Megapack turnkey solutions alongside energy trading and performance optimization via its proprietary Autobidder software suite. The partnership directly addresses structural load volatility on European grids triggered by renewable integration and scaling AI data center power demands.
