June 13, Fineko/abc.az. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has completed the first review of Ukraine’s $8.1 billion loan program, reaching a staff-level agreement to clear a payout of approximately $690 million.

According to ABC.AZ, tracking the multi-year stabilization package:

  • Tranche Logistics: Upon final approval by the IMF Executive Board, Ukraine will secure access to an additional $690 million under the 4-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement. This allocation will bring total disbursements under the framework to $2.2 billion.

  • Performance Metrics: The Fund confirmed that all quantitative performance criteria and indicative targets set under the program were systematically met. Despite minor delays in structural benchmarks for the first quarter, the reform matrix has been recalibrated to ensure corrective measures.

  • Macroeconomic Outlook: The IMF noted that while the severe toll of the war on the country's population and broader economy keeps the outlook highly uncertain, sustained and robust external financial support ensures the program remains fully funded.
