AMD invests over $10 bn in AI infrastructure in Taiwan

May 21, Fineko/abc.az. American AMD has announced large-scale investments of more than $10 bn in the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure in Taiwan.

ABC.AZ informs that the financeswill be used to expand production, develop chip packaging technologies and cooperate with Taiwanese partners ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. and Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd.. The project includes the introduction of the 2.5D architecture and the release of new Venice processors manufactured using TSMC's 2nm technology.

AMD also confirmed plans to expand TSMC's facilities in the U.S., in Arizona, to diversify supply chains and reduce production risks.
