June 9, Fineko/abc.az. The level of problem loans in Azerbaijan is one of the lowest in the region.
ABC.AZ informs that Zakir Nuriyev, Chairman of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA), made the above-said statement at the X International Finance and Banking Summit held in Baku.
"In some cases, the figures should be estimated amid the overall growth of the portfolio, because the loan portfolio has grown up to 30.6 billion manats. As the portfolio grows, it is quite natural to observe small changes in the proportion of problem loans. This is due to expansion of the overall structure and in itself should not be considered as a negative trend," Nuriyev said.
