June 9, Fineko/abc.az. A new socio-economic development program for 2027-2030 will be adopted in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ informs that Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, stated this at the X International Summit on Finance and Banking, held in Baku.
He noted that the program is to be adopted by the end of this year. According to Gasimli, on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, a new program of socio-economic development of the country is being developed for the next period:
"It is expected that the program will be adopted by the end of the year. This document will become the main framework document for the socio-economic development of the country and will cover all sectors of the economy. The new program will determine the medium-term development priorities of Azerbaijan and will be coordinated with the sectoral programs adopted in various directions."
He added that a range of sectoral programs have already been prepared and approved in certain areas:
"These programs define the goals and activities for development of individual sectors of the economy. The new socio-economic development program will be important for ensuring sustainable economic growth in the country, developing the non-oil sector, improving the investment climate and achieving other strategic goals."
