June 2, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku–Tbilisi–Kars Railway (BTK) is of strategic importance for the region.
ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Tamar Ioseliani told journalists about this.
She noted that the BTK is an important transport route connecting Europe with Asia, and as a strategic project jointly implemented by Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, it creates additional opportunities for cargo transportation in the region.
"A new railway line is being added to our transport network. This is a joint strategic project of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, which connects Europe with Asia and gives us additional opportunities for cargo transportation in the region," Ioseliani added.
